Telugu movie Aha Kalyanam Review

Banner: Yash Raj Films
Producer: Aditya Chopra
Director: A. Gokul Krishna
Music: Dharan Kumar
Casting: Nani, Vani Kapoor, Simran and others
Rating: 2.5/5.0
Story
Shruti (Vani Kapoor) plans to settle as a wedding planner after completion of her studies and works earnestly to realise her dreams training under experienced wedding planners. Shakti (Nani) who is also a student meets Shruti accidentally and both try to gain experience under popular wedding planner Chandralekha (Simran).
However with Chandralekha blaming them for a mistake, they comeback and start their own wedding planning company titled Gatti Melam. Right after tasting success, differences crops up and with each other turning egoistic, they part ways, starting their own companies.
But their companies plunge into debts and are seriously pursued by the bank officials. At the same time they get an offer to plan a high profile wedding on condition that they it jointly. Will they take up the offer or not should be enjoyed on silver screen.
Performance
Nani came with good performance in his own style. Vani attracted all with her beauty but her attire suited Kollywood style. Simran sizzled in special role after a long time.
With new comers donning the other roles, they did not get much screen presence and even then they didnot attract with their performances.
Technical
Gokul Krishna did not include much needed commercial values which are given importance by Telugu viewers. He failed to bring in Telugu nativity and feel while copy pasting Bollywood hit Band Baja Baarat.
Yash Raj Films banner made the film in a lavish manner. Production values are of top class.Dharan's music is beautiful. Cinematography is ok but editing could have been better.
Plus Points
Nani's performance
Some wedding scenes
Vani Kapoor's glamour
Minus Points
Story, Screenplay
Lack of entertainment
Away from Telugu nativity
Analysis
Lot of interest was generated with Yash Raj Films entering south with the superhit Bollywood film Band Baaja Baarat. Nani's presence too evoked interest but those who watched the film are not showing happy faces. Lack of novelty in story, screenplay, routine take off, lack of mass elements are the big minus for the film.
Nani-Vani's lip lock is the highlight in the film. Overall the film is far away from Tollywood movie lovers.
Final Talk
Vani-Nani's Aaha Kalyanam gave average treat.
